Katie first discovered Moksha Yoga in her hometown of Ottawa, Ontario. She didn’t know it at the time, but her first class changed everything! Yoga was a fun and challenging way for Katie to become more active and to live a more inspiring life. Yoga has introduced Katie to new perspectives and has given her confidence to try new things. After practicing hot yoga for just over 2 years, in 2011 she decided to take the Moksha Yoga teacher training in Victoria. The experience was a huge turning point in her life and she is so grateful to have had that experience! Shortly after Victoria, Katie went to Halifax to complete the Moksha Yoga Flow training, then to Kingston to complete a Yin Yoga certification. She couldn’t get enough of yoga! After teaching at Moksha Yoga Ottawa for 2 years she found herself back on the island to teach at Moksha Yoga Nanaimo. Since living in Nanaimo Katie has completed the HeartRise Children’s Yoga teacher training and Yoga for Trauma training. Katie walks through life knowing how truly blessed she is and is so grateful to be where she is today and has so much gratitude for all of the students and teachers who have helped her along her path.
