Sarah-Jane Smith

Sarah-Jane has a warm and welcoming presence and she enjoys helping students find ways in which yoga can enrich and inspire their lives. During 2009, Sarah-Jane lived at the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga and studied the Classical Ashtanga teachings of Baba Hari Dass. This included karma yoga, asana, yoga philosophy, meditation, pranayama Since then Sarah-Jane has completed a 500 hour Moksha Level 1 training, a Moksha Flow training and a 200hr Moksha Level 2 training. She has also studied Yin yoga with Joe Barnett and Children’s yoga at SSCY.  Since 2010, She has taught over 1600 classes to a wide range of students in hot studios, room temperature studios, gyms, on paddleboards, at the beach and in parks in Nanaimo and on Salt Spring If you are ever on Salt Spring Island come by and visit her at her cozy yoga studio the Nest hot yoga –

When not teaching yoga, SJ can be found singing, playing the harmonium, reading books in the sun, stand up paddle boarding, doing yoga, brewing Kombucha in the kitchen, enjoying time with friends and probably eating!
